Lakeview East Cooperatiave was purchased by the 707 Waveland Residents' Association in August, 1996 under the Low Income Housing Preservation and Resident Homeownership Act of 1990.  Pursuant to the Homeownership Plan, the building was converted to an affordable housing cooperative.  In accordance with the RHP, the building will contain both cooperative and rental units.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Lakeview East Cooperative is governed by a seven member Board of DIrectors, who are elected by and from the members of the Cooperative through the democratic process.   Board of Directors serve a two-year term.  Annual election of the Board of Directors is held during the month of August.  There is no landlord and all fiduciary concerns of the Cooperative is the sole responsibility of the Board of Directors.
